Blessed Begonia

Oh how glorious you be, you everyday plant
that reflects the colours of both sunrise
and sunset; and you do so in the shade,
such a bonus when our yard faces north
and rarely sees the sun ’round the front
So hardy and yet so delicate looking especially
this year’s tones…butter yellow, corals
and peaches tinged with baby pink
No green-thumb I, still I can appreciate
the poetry in a garden, in a blossom,
especially in you, blessed begonia.

Glad you came by to read, be happier still if you left a few words...
